Work With Us

Trusted pet care. Real responsibility. Meaningful work.

At Furfolk, we exist to deliver trusted, personalised care for pets when their humans can’t be there.

Everything we do comes back to trust — clients trust us with their homes, their routines, and the animals they love most. That means we hold ourselves to high standards, take responsibility seriously, and show up properly every time.

We’re building a pet care business that stays personal, consistent, and genuinely reliable as it grows. That only works with the right people.

What to expect

Apply Online

Complete our short application form so we can learn a bit about you, your experience, and where you’re based.

Meet & Greet

If it looks like a good fit, we’ll organise a chat to get to know you better, talk through the role, and make sure expectations align on both sides.

Onboarding

We’ll guide you through onboarding, including systems, standards, and how we do things at Furfolk — so you feel confident and set up properly from day one.

Training

You’ll complete Furfolk training covering our care standards, systems, safety expectations, and how we deliver personalised pet care. This ensures you feel confident, prepared, and supported before starting.

Start Caring

Once you’re onboarded, you’ll begin caring for pets in your local area, supported by clear processes and a team that genuinely has your back.

What It’s Like to Work With Furfolk

Working with Furfolk means being trusted to do meaningful work, often independently, and doing it well.

Depending on the role, you might be:

  • Caring for pets in their homes

  • Walking dogs in the local community

  • Supporting clients during holidays or busy periods

  • Communicating directly with pet owners

  • Representing Furfolk out in the world

You won’t be micromanaged, but you will be relied on. Good judgement, reliability, and professionalism matter here.

Our Values in Practice

Trust

We show up when we say we will, follow instructions carefully, and communicate clearly. Clients trust us with their pets and their homes, and we take that seriously — every visit.

Personalised Care

Every pet is different. We pay attention to routines, behaviour, and personality, and tailor our care to what each animal actually needs.

Professionalism

We hold ourselves to clear standards. That means being prepared, respectful, calm under pressure, and always acting in the best interest of the pet.

The Kind of People We’re Looking For

We’re always interested in people who:

  • Genuinely care about animal wellbeing

  • Value trust and responsibility

  • Take pride in doing things properly

  • Are reliable, organised, and communicative

  • Can work independently and make sensible decisions

  • Treat people’s homes, pets, and routines with respect

Experience is great, but character matters more. We can train skills, we can’t train judgement or care.

Is Furfolk Right for You?

Working with Furfolk suits people who:

  • Want meaningful, responsibility-based work

  • Enjoy working independently

  • Take pride in reliability and consistency

  • Care deeply about animals and the people who love them

It may not suit you if you’re looking for:

  • A casual, low-responsibility side hustle

  • Work where cutting corners is acceptable

  • Something that doesn’t require accountability
